Wilkens and Sohne Coffee 5 O'Clock Spoons 5 Inches 800/1000 Gilt Bowl Set10

Description

Set of 10 "Coffee Spoons" or "Five O'Clock" spoons, 5 inches long, each weighs 15 grams. Excellent original condition, clean detail, no removals, repairs or alterations. Soft warm original finish, no buffing or machine polishing.
The moon and crown is the National German Mark required after 1888, and the Maker's Mark is that of
M.H. Wilkens & Sohne, which still operates in Bremen-Hemelingen Germany. The "800" indicates the decimal silver standard or purity of the silver, 800/1000.
They came into my family around 1914, so they must have been made between 1888 and 1914. Initials of monogram very hard to distinguish because they are quite intricate, but are "GHK."
