    Description

    This lot features a Philippines  5 Peso "Victory" note issued in 1944 but not dated, Pick-96. This was a note from the "Victory" series with SERIES NO. 66 twice on the face instead of a date. On the back, a large VICTORY was overprinted in black ink.  A large blue seal is at the lower right portion of the front. The paper is still quite bright and contrasts nicely against the multicolored inks on each side. I will call this one Fine with obvious signs of circulation but no tears or overly distracting stains. Certainly a worthwhile example for the collector of World War II currency.
