It is hard to describe just how amazing a party Club Rubber was. For most of it existence, Rubber was a monthly party held at The Galaxy Theater In Santa Ana, California. Always featuring a dance music room and a second hip hop room, there was music for everyone's taste.  Each month a crowd of between 1,500 and 3,000 people would descend from all parts Southern California to be entertained by an adult circus. Beautiful OC women, world class music, cutting edge light shows, podium dancers, known as The Rubber Dolls and sometimes, there were circus performers such as stilt walkers and trapeze acts. Actors, sports celebrities, music stars were common. Unlike many parties where the celebrities become the focus, Rubber was such a sensory overload that the party raged and the celebrities were absorbed and often times unnoticed.
During Its Reign, Club Rubber Was Arguably The Best Party In America!
By the early 2000's, the crowd would start lining up at 6pm and the line would be blocks long. Eventually the party got too big for Orange County. No venue was large enough to hold  it. They tried moving to LA & San Diego but word had gotten out and those venues were also overrun.
In search of even larger venues, Club Rubber Moved to Las Vegas with Annual Pimp 'N Ho Costume Parties. Costumes were Mandatory. Out of Control!! For The New Millennium in 2000, the Pimp N' Ho Halloween was held at the Mandalay Bay Arena with a capacity of 10,000. Even that venue was not large enough. The worst thing for a party is too few people, the second worst, which can become the worst is too many people. After the club has reached capacity and thousands of partiers are still outside and wanting to get in, it becomes a security nightmare.
When the fire marshal says no more, it's no more in.
Everyone on the outside is someone, everyone is on the guest list, everyone at the door has a major issue with not being let in. Many of the Vegas casinos became fearful of Club Rubber / Pimp N' Ho's unprecedented crowds. Due to their overwhelming success, Club Rubber & Pimp 'N Ho were eventually brought to a close and the promoters moved on to other ventures, including music production, tattoo studios, TV show Inked and successful clothing lines. Damion Sanders married Pink.

Before Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp or Any Social Media - The Party Flyer Ruled Nightclub Promotion.
Promoters would stand in the streets of NYC handing them out, they would drop them off at barber shops and beauty salons, they would put them under the windshield wiper of your car. Promoters, who weren't broke, would hire flyer men to stand at subway stations and in crowed shopping districts such as Macy's 34th Street and Times Square to hand them out. When you left a happening club at 3 or 4 in the AM, a line of flyer men would rush up to push flyers in your hand promoting tomorrow's or next week's party.
Amazingly, even after 100% of those of prime party age are now on social media, the Party Flyer still lives on!
